At the office of Alexander Hatsis, M.D. we pride ourselves on our commitment to
comprehensive eye care and leading edge technology. Our practice specializes in a variety of refractive procedures designed to reduce or eliminate your need for glasses and/or contact lenses. Dr. Hatsis personally speaks to each candidate at the free consultation and examines every patient to determine their candidacy. He performs the procedure and personally follows all patients during their care.
Dr. Alexander Hatsis is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was the first and currently the only Long Island based refractive surgeon specifically certified by the American Board of Eye Surgery in LASIK and Incisional Refractive Surgery. In 1995 Dr. Hatsis was the first surgeon to perform Excimer laser correction of nearsightedness on Long Island. He was also the first to treat farsightedness and astigmatism on Long Island as well. Our office is the home to two FDA approved flying spot Excimer lasers, The Alcon CustomCornea® LadarVision and the LaserSight LSX® Flying Spot Laser. For your convenience exams and surgery are done in our Certified operating room and laser room in our Rockville Center office.
